This can get a little tricky in multitarget situations where several enemies are tightly clumped together though, so you can still use Tab or click on the target to activate the traditional Tab Target Combat mode. This functionality also sort of exists in game already, as attempting to use an offensive action without a target will automatically select the closest one (as many a player who accidentally pulled a boss early may know.), but the action cam takes it a step further by dynamically switching between targets based on where your camera is facing - even deselecting the target if you turn away from it entirely! Turning on Action Combat will automatically target enemies when you approach them without the need to use tab or the mouse first. The option can be turned off again by using the same command, changing the last digit to 1. and you may want to continue to use your Gateway Control Shard, so you don't accidentally interact with Jeeves instead of the Gateway at a crucial time, but this is a great step forward in allowing more ways to interact with the game world. The Hearthstone icon indicates that this Innkeeper can be interacted with using the Interact Key, without first targeting or mousing over them!Ĭurrently, the feature appears to work with everything you'd think it should - NPCs, mailboxes, quest objects, world such as benches and chairs, repair bots, toys, lootable corpses, and even Demonic Gateways! You'll still need to use your mouse to interact further with some objects and NPCs. While a similar functionality already exists in the form of Interact With Target and Interact With Mouseover, the new Interact Key allows you to do so without actually targeting the object or NPC - just by getting close to them! To help figure out if you're close enough to interact, a handy icon will now pop up, identical to the one you would see while mousing over the target. This handy feature allows players to automatically interact with nearby objects using a dedicated hotkey. This option can be turned on using the in-game Options, near the bottom of the Interface menu. Presumably, this is to reduce the potential for automation, such as holding down a mouseover Execute macro while waving the cursor over a group of enemies to automatically cast it on low health targets while also continuing your normal rotation.
While the ability will still cast when the key is pressed (assuming the ability can be cast at that time), holding down the key will not cast it again - it will only be cast on keypress as if the option were not enabled. It should also be noted that the functionality currently does not work with macros. You can even press a second key while holding to override the cast, such casting a Pryoblast while still holding down the Fireball key to continually recast it, although there are some limitations - just holding down two keys the whole time won't continually auto-cast both of them! Even if you aren't continually using the same ability in quick succession, this allows you to press and hold the next keybind in your rotation ahead of time, making it much easier to time without watching the GCD sweep. This feature can be used by anyone, but is particularly useful for spammy one-button rotations or those who have a harder time keeping up with rapid high-haste rotations like those used by Demon Hunters, Outlaw Rogues, Fury Warriors. While it doesn't look any different from normal gameplay, each Raging Blow is being cast after the other without releasing the keybind. This is a huge accessibility improvement which players have been using for years with third-party keyboards and programs like AutoHotKey, finally integrated into World of Warcraft directly. Hold to Cast is a new interface option allowing players to continually recast a spell while its keybind is held down, rather than requiring it to be released and actuated again. Alongside further UI customization, players have new options to enable Hold to Cast, Auto Target enemies, and a hotkey to Interact with nearby objects!
